    Hello again folks!

Another find I am trying to ID. Got this from an auction in Sweden. It's really a beautiful piece, but not sure who the maker is. Is it German or is it Capodimonte? Any information is highly appreciated! :)
Height approx. 28 cm (11 inches).

    Thank you! :)

Modern use of supposed Capodimonte mark. There is no single exclusive owner of the right to use that mark.

There are crown over N marks that are German as well. I have seen similar vases by Germans too. Is that for sure modern Capodimonte mark? :)

There is no such thing as an official modern Capodimonte mark with exclusive right to use the mark or the name. There are makers who use "Capodimonte" on newly made items. However, they have no connection whatsoever to the original company and their wares are not of the same quality. They seem to be sold as collectibles.

There are some German crown N marks as you mention. I'm not familiar with what they produced so can't say about yours one way or the other though it looks very new to my eye.

    From Röntgen's book of marks.

Handsome Vase. I think say it slowly has definetly nailed it. Modern or not it looks very distinguished.

The part I can see is a satyr (gently) driving a nymph or maenad. There is not a particular myth behind it, just the well known nature of satyrs.
