One copy offered to each of two actively participating, well-known members. We’ll see what the situation is Sunday evening.

    Freddy Finkle Meets Santa Claus

    My opus magnum!
    My chef d'oeuvre!
    My pièce de résistance!

A dark, down, and murderous Yuletide tale!
    And it rhymes!

Tastefully presented in a beautiful black report folder. A numbered and signed limited edition. Even has a copyright page (though I stopped short of getting an ISBN)! I did my best to make it “special”.

I have already inflicted this on family, and they were most satisfyingly appalled.

Cover design and illustration by me!

    Text by me!

It was a great story in rhyme time! ::shivers:: :)
MOS, did you write that in iambic pentameter? :)

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I was glad to see the "happy" ending! Thanks for sharing. :)

Reminded me a bit of Sweeney Todd.

lots of iamb, not so much pentameter. (Maybe the introduction.)

It sounds close to me when I read it out loud! :)
I only know this because in high school, we had to write a poem in the style of Beowulf!:smug:

I think most of the lines have 4 beats rather than 5. It wasn't consciously a consideration in the writing. Consistency was, but not the number.

    Love it!

    Best rhyme, in my opinion:

"No matter how they did the math
They knew he was a psychopath."

    Yes!

Thanks to everyone for looking! The stuff is in the mail, but I dunno, I dunno. The lady at the post office sent them cheapest... lettermail... but she warned me that if they get opened at the border and someone decides they're not lettermail, they'll get sent back. So we wait to see.

Hi @moreotherstuff! I got your book in the mail on Christmas Eve and just got a chance to sit down and read it.

It's well written, funny, and quite entertaining. It is kind of grisly, but well worth sharing with those you know will be amused.

    Thank you!!!!!

I got mine in Cristina's Eve too-- perfect timing, given the subject of Santa and his deliveries...

    Thanks @moreotherstuff !
