    Soft cover single subject Sotheby’s auction catalogs:

    1987: Emile Zola et l’affaire Dreyfus
    10” by 8”

    1988: Franz Kafka The autograph manuscript of Der Prozess: “The Trial”

    The Zola auction comprised of many letters to and from Zola. Some related to his work in general, but many concerning the Dreyfus Affair (easy to search online), including his famous “Letter to the President of the Republic”, commonly known as “J’Accuse!“ There are essays on Zola, and on the Dreyfus Affair. The catalog is in both French and English.

    The Kafka catalog includes an essay on Kafka’s vicissitudes in writing the novel, his manner of writing, and photos of some manuscript pages.
