glass decanter anyone know the maker?

    It appears to be pressed and not cut.
    Lead crystal.
    I would guess the origin to be the Czech region, Yugoslavia, Romania, Slovenia. That's where much of the lead crystal has been coming from since the 1980s.
    I don't think your decanter is older than that.

    The pressing would have to have been through the bottom and closed off with a cut shut technique. Could be but the bottom would have then been smoothed all over and polished. To me it looks mold blown from the top.
