Is the coating on the outside or inside?

If it is on the inside, I think it is Mercury glass.

Doesn't look like "mercury glass" to me. That is a double walled vessel with silver halide between the walls. If the opening is left unsealed it tarnishes and deteriorates relative fast. This looks like a molded piece with a spray on coating to me. A statute of Jesus from some shrine.

Coating is on the outside and it did deteriorate on lower parts.

I suspect it sat on top of a candle. Saw those lots in my childhood in Catholic homes.

    Sounds sensible and possible.
What do you think two letters W.W. mean?

At the moment, I've no clue, but let's see if inspiration hits overnight. ;)

Could this categorise as carnival glass, since it has something like iridescent coating?
