Hi All....I have had this lidded jar (correct term?) for many years. Bought around 2000..was told then it was "50 years old"..I am doubtful of that silver trim etched lidded jar (2).JPG glass design.JPG glass bottom.JPG glass close up design.JPG .
    9 1/2 " H...3 3/4" base. NO marks. "silver" trim --5 places...
Hoping someone has ideas on age ...though I feel finding maker would be impossible.
    Is this a candy jar?..or ?

Really a nice bit of engraving on it, too.

Thanks...yes, it is very well done in my opinion. Not "run of the mill".

Remember the glass maker may not have done the engraving.

    yes--I know.
I have just been curious about this piece since I got it. It is heavy, nice quality/clear glass. Just always hoped to find some info.....though ...I really am not optimistic. ;)
