    Hey guys,

I have been going through my families house and coming across a lot of things. I want to make sure I do not throw out anything valuable or historical.

So I have this old mug that looks like it is a decorative music box. There is a cap as you can see and it covers this little electrical board.

This may not be the place for this but I know model cars are mostly worthless but was told here is some real value for some of them.

I was hoping you guys could tell me if anything is worth keeping, selling or just pitching. I appreciate any help I get from this forum and if something is worth anything you have my word that I will compensate whoever identified the item.

Welcome, Fox. A search for 'beer stein music box' turns up many such. You can get an idea of how much is being asked for them from that.

Turn the cars over and look at the bottom. Search the information you see to find out about them. ;)

The cars have had a life, well played with, and enjoyed by former owners. Whatever their value once was (mark? model? scale, 1:45?), the current condition will influence it. I can tell you that for free.;)

The music box will need a lot of TLC to get rid of all that oxidation crust.

The cars look like Matchbox - may say Lesney on the bottom, but they've been rode hard and put away wet. The music box was even wetter. In its present state the value is probably not high.

Thanks for the responses, I appreciate it. So upon checking the cars there is not any print on the bottom of them. If it helps anyone the bottoms are pretty realistic. You can see the bottom of the engine drive shaft and fuel tank.

The "beer stein music box" does indeed return results. I found one exactly like mine. They regularly go for around $20-60 depending on condition and what you have.
