    Hello everyone - I've got a large Murano vase I'm trying to find more information on. It stands about 13 1/2" high and 2 7/8" across the base. The partial label says Maestro and I'm trying to find out which Maestro produced it. It is not signed. I'm wondering if the four or five bubbles in it made it a second and that is why it's not signed. Any info regarding age would be helpful as well. Thanks for looking and thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

    Hi -
    If I had seen this, I would have been surprised at the Murano label.
    It looks like the new Chinese imports.

    Does anyone know if the labels are being reproduced.

    Sorry to put a damper on your find. I could be very very wrong.
    It just looks suspect to me.

    Are labels not usually placed on the bottom where they are out of sight?

    Labels on the body where any buyer would at once remove them seem rather odd.

    Visible branding and marking is a modern fashion, clothes and stuff with the maker's name on the outside is rather plebian, its sole purpose is to advertise the wealth of the buyer to people too ignorant to tell the difference between good and mediocre quality on sight.

    So might it be with this, but I can't see it well, and probably could not tell anyway, being pretty ignorant about glass.

    Labels can go anywhere. It's the exception when they're not removed.

    Everything you all are saying makes sense. Thanks, cxgirl, for the lead. It looks like the fossilfly forum is still active so I'll try and post the vase there in the next day or two. Will report back whatever I find.

    @cxgirl
    Thanks for the link.
    I hadn't seen that before. It does mention red and gold counterfeit labels.

    dgb - come back and let us know what fossilfly says.
