DSCF1237.JPG DSCF1238bitty.jpg I'm into this for a whole dollar. It's a green glass weight I picked up because you guys have been a BAD influence (thank you ... I think) This piece has an impressed mark on the bottom, but whose? It's about the size of a baseball. There's some age/wear on the base, so it's not new.

Evelyb, it reminds me of the KERRY GLASS (Ireland) paperweights, but I don't know what their mark looks like.

Okay, here's a picture of a label with their mark on it

Yup SBSVC, it is a Kerry Glass Paperweight:) I think the mark is supposed to be a flame

CX, it's funny... I see that green, and I think Emerald Isle, which leads me on to Kerry! (p.s. I LOVE the Ring of Kerry!)

This one is Isle of Wight, I think, rather than Kerry. Both founded by Michael Harris of Mdina fame. Kerry and IoW use the same flame pontil idea, but they're reversed. Yours is the right way round for IoW.

Could be but I still think Kerry Glass, they used a mark with the flame on the right and left side:)
Note that the flame mark was also used by Kerry Glass, with the flame on the left hand side (early pieces) or the right hand side (from some time in the early 1980s to 1985). The tool supplied to Kerry Glass to make the mark was subsequently lost and re-made by them from an impression from existing stock. Hence the mirror image. (information from the site below)

Ah, the labelled one backs that. They're very Mdina, of course.

This one will probably end up with someone I know; she's named Kerry.
