I know they must be old because the lady that I bought from said they belonged to her mother. But then again you never know. Both has the sawtooth edge. One is a bowl and the other is shaped like a taco lol, best I can describe it. Just wondering what that one would have been used for? Any help would be great. And another question, how do you take good pics of glass that will show the pattern good? Thanks SDC15111.JPG SDC15112.JPG SDC15113.JPG SDC15121.JPG SDC15116.JPG SDC15117.JPG SDC15119.JPG

    Hello
Roger - The second piece is EAPG - Palm Beach Fan by Bryce, Higbee, and Co. 1905.

How large (or small) is the second piece of glassware (the fan-shaped clear one)?

I have on one or two occasions seen a small(ish) fan-shaped dish used to good effect to hold small luncheon napkins folded attractively. I'm not saying that is its intended use but . . . . ;)

Thanks!!! Don and yourturn I did get both sizes yesterday in this pattern this one is a 7inch and maybe the smaller one is about 4inch. I was just thinking after I got home want would I use them for. I guess the smaller one could be used as a napkin holder.

The first piece of glass has like a spiral pattern to it.

Does anyone what to guess what the first one might be. It's a really nice bowl. It also has a different sound to it when you tap it than the EAPG.

For colorless glass I find a charcoal or black background works best using the black and white setting on my camera. Some folks set the glass on a light source like an old Xray viewer and get great results. The 1st bowl looks like a 20-30s "elegant" design to me.

Thank you George, I will have to try that black and white setting.

I've seen the fan shaped piece listed as a banana dish or plate.

Been on the lookout for them since I saw a Candlewick banana stand go for $2000. :)

    Hi guys!
