glass perfume bottle

I assume it's Italian but I can't find anything remotely similar and could use help with search terms. It's 4.5" tall with dauber. 2.5" at base. Tapered octagon shape. Thanks.

Oooh a modern take on pelaton ware, not seen that before.

 

It could be Italian or any of the other of thousands of glass artisans around the world. There are art glass artisans everywhere who create unique bottles such as this one & sell them at craft shows or on their own websites.

Personally, I collect antique & vintage bottles but some of the members of the perfume bottle group do collect one-of-a-kind art glass bottles such as this one. Unless it is signed or has a distinctive pontil on the bottom I don't think you will ever know for sure.

Every year at the International Perfume Bottle Association's convention they have a competition where artists can submit their bottles. The members at the convention vote for their favorite & a winner is announced on the final day of the convention.

There are cash prizes awarded for the top 3 bottles I think.
