    WAG about the age, but I would say 1920's -'30's. It looks like maybe nickel and that you used a buffing wheel. 100% improvement imo, well done!

    Looks like it had a "satin" finish to start with and whoever owned it had a compulsive habit of rubbing it in one location with their thumb for years.

    No that was the start of the polishing
    Didn't expect that old awesome and like all (maybe i shouldnt) I polished it by hand

    Very nice. In my experience, 1800s-1920s spectacle cases..and I've seen LOADS...are really flat and thin. I'd say this was later. 30s or 40s or later.
