Hi all. I posted this in finds the other day,and Im darned if I can figure out who, what or where! Ive used every search term I can think of,did google image over and over, yet I cant find one example like it. I know darn well its not the only one,so why cant I id it? Its 13 inches tall,2 1/2 wide. Any input is always appreciated.
when I saw this I thought of Guy Corrie Union Glass. The base on yours is flat though, so maybe not. there is a web site, maybe shoot him an e-mail to see if it is by him.
You are very welcome, hope it is by him! lol, some days I feel the same wayWhen I first found the piece shown (I have 2 of them), I couldn't find anything. It wasn't until an id was made that I could find any.
I agree with cxgirl--looks very similar to Union Street Glass, though I haven't seen a piece with the white bottom. Most Union Street pieces I've seen are signed, though I think they have/had an outlet where unsigned pieces were sold.
I have a couple of pieces, both signed. I've seen listings on Ebay where the seller said it was unsigned because purchased at the outlet, but I can't confirm. Our son and his wife chose Union Street's Manhattan for their everyday glassware several years ago. Shortly after the wedding, I was at an auction and they had something like 40 different size Manhattan stems (red wine, white wine, champagne flutes, etc) offered as a lot. I couldn't believe it! I don't remember what I paid, but it was something like $400 or $600 for the lot. I was thrilled (and so were they). Each piece is signed.
I had a pair of Union street champagne flutes I gave to a friend as a wedding present.Somewhere on here is a post about them. I emailed and will let yall know when I hear back (or if) .
