Hi all.I picked up this set of 8 glasses,5 inches high,3 wide, and fruitlessly searched for some time. Any ideas on who, where or when? I think mid century, but thats a guess. Any input is always appreciated.
I thought Libbey, but dont they always mark their glass with an "L" ? Ive looked under every title I can think of.Its one of those things where it doesnt really matter, but your like a dog with a bone! I MUST find it now,its a quest!
Johnny, I've looked thru a lot of photos of drinking glasses, trying to find that "base". I'm not even sure I have, but here are a few with some similarities to yours. The way that base is attached seems to differ on some of them. As Greg said, the Libbey glasses may have different rims: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Pa...4.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xsmoke.TRS0.TSS0 https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-PINK-JUI...532341?hash=item3fa4c85635:g:kHsAAOSwHHFY-kVo (from dead Pinterest link) Here are a couple of others, listed with no ID. They may be Libbey - I just don't know: https://www.etsy.com/listing/610192...-double?ref=landingpage_similar_listing_bot-6 https://www.chairish.com/product/217605/vintage-smoke-gray-rocks-glasses-s4
The first thing that jumped into my mind was Duncan Miller's 500 Line but those usually had cuttings, like of fish or sailboats. Another one to try is Morgantown because they made a lot of funky glass.
Wow,thank you SO much ! I couldnt even find those examples. I do think the top and bottom ones are it,but no one seems to know who.At least I can narrow down to american made. Thanks everybody for looking for me!
