I bought a deck of tarot cards a few weeks ago to resell..
The box is in less than stellar shape. Im debating on selling it as is and letting the buyer fix or fixing it to bring more, but risking messing it up..

How easy is it to fix?
What kind of glue and application??

Does anyone have any info on the age of this deck?
    Im getting conflicting information

This deck has cards No. 12 - 52 + a title card (42 total cards).

I find old cards like this just beautiful. The graphics are amazing!

I'm not sure re-gluing that box is going to be too easy or worth the time. Guessing that the condition of the cards is a bit more important.

Here is one sold under Ebay, says it is missing the instructions and the Joker. Yours might be in better condition, hard to tell from a few photos.

IMO, it's best to let the buyer decide to restore/not restore items. Seller may not a poor job and hurt item's value. Seller may have a preferred restoration resource.

And, according to this, cards copyrighted in 1903 and published at least until 1936.

I'm always in favor of letting the buyer do their own repairs. If you keep it for yourself, then you can restore it.

True. I don't usually buy things people have restored or repaired. I don't know anything about cards though.

These don't look like true "Tarot" cards to me and the box says "Fortune Telling," not Tarot. If you decide to list them, be aware of this difference.

Interesting. I would leave them be and not restore.
I took a quick look on Etsy and some similar ones have a nice price on them. But I know nothing about what makes some more attractive than others.

Asking price at ETSY, not sold price.

My teenage older sister used to freak us younger ones out a bit by using Gypsy Witch cards to tell our fortunes back in the 1970s. She would get all dressed up in a blouse, swishy skirt, and hoop earrings, meeting with "customers" one by one in a candlelit room in our dark basement. Anyway, her deck looked just like the ones still sold today. Yours look much older, of course. Fun memories!

Actually, that article says Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling Cards have been published continuously since 1903. The example shown in their photo is from 1936. :)
