    Dupont lighters are traditionally gold. However, they are widely faked. Yours looks vintage so you may be lucky. There are numerous web sites on line that provide information about distinguishing between genuine and counterfeit. Here's one:

    I don't see any French gold marks on these; even the itty bitty squares don't look right.
