Gold Pendant Stone id help

    Any help identifying this stone which is mounted in a 9ct gold pendant . P3280636.JPG

    Is the back exposed? If so, could we see that too?

    From this pick, think it would have to go into the general category of jasper, sort of like agate, but less well organized & bigger assortment of inclusions.

    Hi sorry should have explained the back is polished jet black and thank you for looking , would the other black stone have any significance with the one above ?

    It's a puzzlement. The black would not be part of the same stone. Is it flat or en cabochon, like the front? Could the pendant be reversible?

    Both stones are the same size .

    Sounds like. Reversibles were popular for a few years in the 1980s, and of course in the 19th century. This is probably more 1985 than 1885.
