The base metal appears to be grayish.

    It is a copy of a Gold Cob coin, the real ones were produced by the Spanish in Mexico.

    They were often described as ship wreck coins from sunken Galleons.

    I have one similar to that but its not gold because it tarnish i found it embedded in shell its in really good shape i don't know how long it's been out in the sea all i know is that it maybe from the 1400s.
