Good Morning! I purchased this ring at an estate sale. The stone was tested to be real jade by my local jeweler and the metal was also tested to be sterling silver, but was gold overlay at one time, I can still see some of it. The marking say Silver on the inside with no other markings, but it looks like the ring might have been resized, so the makers mark might have been cut out. I was wondering if this is Chinese or Japanese made. I am hoping that someone will be able to help me with where it is from and also with the age. Thank you all so much in advance for your help! It looks fairly recent, but beyond that I have no idea.

    Pretty ring!
My understanding is that the word silver stamped on jewelry was used up to the mid 1970s.
After that, 925 became the standard.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I always thought Asian countries used 'silver' .
