Good Morning Everyone and Happy New Year to You and Your Family!

Here is a piece that I am very confused with. The date mark is from Sheffield 1903, but the other marks are from Dublin. I am hoping someone will be able to shed some light on this. Thank you so much for looking and responding to my post. Please stay safe, healthy for the coming New Year.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

@ezeepass, It looks like the 'STERLING' mark might have P'S'll or something like that overstamped on it?????

But here's the other mark clarified and enlarged........Not really sure what they mean....first one could be a person sitting holding something, second almost looks like a cat with pointed ears, but then looking like arms?? Last one looks like a lower case 'L'.....I dunno.....better off with one of the Experts!!!

She's Hibernia, which was later replaced by the harp mark - 2002. That's just a Dublin date letter by the look of it.

I'm guessing here. Ring blank mfg. in Sheffield, imported to Dublin where the stone setting was done.

Got it. The date letter is Dublin 1976. You've Hibernia and also the crowned harp.

Left to right, Hibernia, crowned harp and lower case l for 1976 in Gaelic font - Shannon font.

Looks like a little chunk of Connemara marble.

You're most welcome. 1976 makes more sense with the style and the marble, I'd say. A wee souvenir Celtic cross.
