Good Morning!! I Could Use Your Help with Identifying This Stone

    Good Morning all!
    I bought this pendant about two weeks ago. The metal is sterling silver, but I am having a hard time identifying the stone. The stone looks something real as you can see the tiny little veins on the inside. I could be wrong, but I would very much appreciate your help with this. Thank You!

    Looks like an operculum (snail's front door).

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    I actually know this one!!!!! It's an 'operculum'! Which is a secreted plate that closes the aperture of a gastropod mollusk's shell when the animal is retracted. But of course, I'm also not usually the first one to comment!!! :joyful::joyful::joyful: "Sniped" by quirkygirl!!!!:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: I also have one!!

    In Corsica, they are called Saint Lucy's eye.

    I like the Saint Lucy's eye name better than operculum. Also, I don't think I've ever seen the back side of one...love that curlycue!

    Since this does not have any marking including 925 stamp and tested sterling silver, is it possible to tell the age?
