    Coaster? Condiment? Nut? 3-1/8" wide inside. Date code for 1925.

    I was thinking bottle coaster until I saw the picture of the sterling and glass pieces apart.

    It's made like a coaster and probably comes apart so you can wash the glass bit and polish the silver. Wine bottles drip, hence the need for a coaster.
