I like the nerve of a company making a fragile glass vase with beautiful and
ornate decorations then slapping a bright green snake on it.
Fortunately there are some of us who still like this stuff.

    Certainly are eye catching.

What kind of glass are they?

Milk glass with a satin finish on the outside.

I googled opaline snake vase and found some similar so maybe try that as a search term. Some online are suggesting French but I bet someone here knows.

I'd favor opaline over milk glass. And yes, critters do make pieces more appealing.

Opaline here too, looks cased inside with white milk glass, very beautiful. Stephen, do you know what glass company made these? Where'd you find 'em?

I shall bow to opaline over milk glass and everyone knows the Bohemians would not hesitate to slap a snake on a vase but the design did strike me a French so the juries out. Don't know who made them and they came from an auction so provenance is lost. Love the sticker price the gallery put on a single vase. Wonder if they would like a pair painted with a steadier hand?:D

pairs usually have mirrored decoration IMO, the snakes should look at each other
