I'd be grateful to know what this (apparently) old green glass item is.
The horseshoe on the top may be a clue as to it's intended use.

It measures circa 2cm in diameter.

    Any help appreciated.
    Many Thanks !!!!

Some kind of spelling game would be my guess. I see an umlaut over an "O", so I'm also guessing German (or Germanic).

is the form polyhedral? I have seen polyhedral dice before.....different uses.

I never saw one with those letters/symbols on it before.
I wouldn't roll that at midnight for sure - :nailbiting: LOL!

I was going to say a die from an RPG, but Debora beat me to it.

Just FYI, "die" is singular, "dice" is plural. :)

I asked a German guy and he said that it is probably an alphabet die. You roll it and everyone has to think of a town or whatever the subject is, beginning with that letter. The horse shoe is a joker. It's called Stadt, land, fluss.

Why so many "O"s though if a word game? Really would like to see what's on the rest of the die.

That did enter my mind too. Although two are o and the other ö, which is a different letter. Or is one of them a q?

And as you say, seeing all sides of it might make identification easier.

I see the o, a Q and the O with the umlauts. Makes sense if it's German.

At first I thought it was connected with something magical.

I thought these gambling dice would cost more. But not bad either.
