Green Glass Thing Lamp Berger Top

What do I have? Been looking around and think this is a Perfume Lamp? Stands 4 3/4" tall and is marked on the base. Anything Lamp berger seems to be pricey. Top says Lamp Berger Made in France.

It's a fairly recent Lampe Berger fragrance diffuser - you have the wick, but the necessary cap and top are missing. They're an old company, and the fragrance is released by catalytic action - the reservoir is filled with a scented fuel, you light the stone on fire, let it burn a couple of minutes, blow it out and it diffuses until the fuel runs out or you cap it off (the cap also keeps the pricey fuel from evaporating), the decorative open top keeps anyone from touching that really hot stone.

And thanks for the reminder, need to get a replacement wick for my Mom's lamp...
