    I picked up a few brooches including this one. 20241106_184332_resize_15.jpg 20241106_184340_resize_57.jpg 20241106_184414_resize_12.jpg 20241106_184503_resize_53.jpg 20241106_184624_resize_84.jpg

There is a marking on the back LP which i thought might be a makers mark but couldent find maker but found this on google for someone asking about LP marking on a ring says it might mean elecro plated or 8 karat gold dating around 50s to 70s so am presuming maybe elecro plated but a magnet does not stick to it.
I quite like it with the stone settings and arrangement.what ye think? Screenshot_20241106-181234_Google_resize_15.jpg

    It's 100% costume. I'd guess late 60s to early 70s.

LP in a circle has to be the manufacturer's mark. My guess is a US manufacturer.
And I'm with the others, it is costume.
The example the OP gave was this mark: 14K L - P.
Most replies suggested L - P was the maker's mark, only one came up with it being the abbreviation for either electro plated or 8 karat gold. A very strange reply imo, because L - P would have to stand for a non-existent technique called Lectro - Plating, not electro plating, and the alternative, 14k would mysteriously morph into 8k. So I think we can ignore that post.:playful:
Besides, your mark is LP in a circle, not 14K L - P.

    Anyway, this is the thread:
