Greetings from Two Aspiring Antiquers in Central Florida

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the opportunity to join; looking forward to learning just about everything we can about the art, practice, and science of antiquing. My fiance, Rebecca, and I are assuredly novices when it comes to the identification of antique wares, though I feel that the depths of our appreciation for and (admiration of) these products of yesteryear is nearer to the master's level.

As the saying goes, everyone needs to begin somewhere, and thus, our journey into the exciting, daunting, and seemingly endless world of antiques begins here. I hope that we can, through our education and experiences, provide value to the group, even if only sparingly at first. And we thank you all in advance for your candor, patience, and support.

Thank you! Furniture has always been a passion of mine, and likely will be my first foray. I've actually got a few wicker/rattan/bamboo pieces that I need help Identifying. So that may be first point of business, and then onto consuming as much of the collective wisdom that I can.
