Found these (approximately 3" tall) shakers at the same flea market as my other post. My gut instinct was saying Russell Wright when I first saw them but I've had no luck in finding them online via google images. I've searched the Ohio River Pottery website with no luck either. Anyone happen to recognize the shape? One thing I found odd in my research was that on Replacements it states that Russell Wright was not a manufacture, therefore they didn't have anything by that company. If they weren't a company who made the line? Steubenville?[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

My gut instinct when I saw them - newer.
Nice clean bottoms. But mainly the holes are the same size in both shakers. Usually, salt had bigger holes than pepper.

Hi Pat, I'll check some of the CA potteries to see what I can find.

I think these used the "alternate" hole method for the pepper - every other hole was a phony on the pepper shaker.................probably designed by an OCD sufferer such as myself....................................

I hadn't noticed that. Nor did I know they even did that.
Makes perfect sense. Thanks for pointing that out. You taught me something.:)

I spent a lot of time in my youth sitting at the breakfast table after refusing to eat a deviled kidney and studying the salt & pepper shakers as my only entertainment while waiting for everyone else finish eating before I could leave the table.........................

This one has 2 holes together blocked. skip one hole to the left and blocked next hole. 3 out of 7 are blocked. Still no luck in finding maker :([IMG]

Ah, then in this case it may be a manufacturing flaw - I'm sure that has happened more than once................
