grim reaper figure

    Thanks could be Stone found a few by him just not this piece

    Nice piece.It looks like a cast stone product to me.From a quick read Lyon does work in actual bronze & other welded metals,and far as original chiseled stone-not sure.
    All artist have to sell 'multiples' (limited edition/open edition castings) to feed themselves.Can you find a number anywhere on the piece ?

    Hi thanks for the reply. It's just the label no other marks, I've seen a few of his other metal figures but can't find any like this one, could be stone the piece weighs just over 2kgs

    Cast stone can be quite heavy,of course so can sculpted soapstone.Where the scythe wraps into the body looks somewhat cast to me.

    yes could be soapstone, just puzzled that I can't find anything similar to this by him. It could be one of I think so hard to value.
