    Need better photos of the hardware,but it looks like a fantasy/tourist item.

    It's based on a Chinese Tai Chi Short Sword....

    And while yours is not that old...it's use suggests that it may have been used for training....

    Hey yeah na. It could be for training. Or i was wondering whether it's a tourist item.

    Way over-elaborate outsides and very poorly crafted blade. Fantasy-tourist item IMO.

    Always check blade before ID ages of asian swords

    One of my friend in China purchased a sword from tomb raider in 2001, which dates over 2600 years(It is belonged to King Fu Chai of Wu in Spring and Autumn period.) As I first saw it in 2009, the sword is made of bronze and in excellent condition with very beautiful rhombus shape throughout its body. The blade is in extremely sharp condition and I cannot image how could it be possible for a 2000+ years old sword to be that sharp.
