Hallmark on UK Sterling Inkstand

    Hi, I am reading this hallmark as 1868, London, Horace Woodward. Would someone confirm or correct? The date letter shape is not quite right, and I haven't seen anything else from this maker before the 1880s, so I wonder if I have misidentified.
    Also, what is the meaning of the little stamped mark that looks like IA or LA?

    I may be totally wrong but the Lion and Leopards head don't look right to me.

    I think it may be Henry Wilkinson, Sheffield maker but London Assay office. 1857 -1879.

    The bottom of the N isn’t the same because the point at the base isn’t there, but the rest is the same.
    Something for you to go on with.

    Thanks for the help. The 1868 was the closest n that I saw, I didn't see how it could be any of the others.

    There are minor variants, the marks are beautifully clear and look fine to me. The style of the inkstand dates it as well as the hallmarks.
