Hallmarks - Right facing Lion Passant

    I know just enough about this to be dangerous .... :wideyed: Read where some English marks from York have the lion facing right instead of left. Based on this, is this a York mark for 1843 (or 1782)? If not, what do I have? Pseudo-marks? There are no other marks.

    I'd say they were pseudo marks on a US coin spoon. The spoon looks more American than British.

    As suggested, American coin, typical of pseudo-marks used by New York area wholesalers in the early to mid 19th century - those marks have been attributed to Benjamin Gurnee of New York, NY.
