    Hi,

I'd like to learn from those of you in the know about this piece (design, pattern, etc.), including if the retail price in the handbag/purse is accurate or inflated.

    Thanks!

Also wondering if a simple tape lint roller would be best to clean the back.

I don't think the monetary unit is dollars. R = rupees?

I wonder if the R stands for Rand used in South Africa since the ad is for something produced in southern Africa as it's written that way.

    South African Rand, R370.00 = $23.51 US

Looks Indian-made. R could be the abbreviation for the South African rand. That would $23 in US dollars which seems a bit high for an attractive, inexpensively-made cloth shoulder bag. If it were mine, I'd (gently) start with a lint roller too.

Could be South African. The black/brown background certainly looks so.

    Non-profit could explain the price.

Sure to be theirs. If you compare the black/brown "striped" woven background with other handbags they've for offer, it's identical. Most of their bags have a more geometric design; it was only the curved floral motifs that made me think of India at first.
