Found a pair of candlestick holders. Any idea if the writing on the bottom mean anything and if they are just cheap holiday souvenairs?

Any help or information will be appreciated.

It's not really my area but I think these might be French. Either Quimper or in the style of Quimper. Others should be along who know more.
