I keep finding stuff that I like but have no idea who dunnit. This plate is no exception. The eyes are a bit...awkwardly painted, to say the least. Any ideas? THANKS!

Hum....I am trying to search to see if there was a Capodimonte artist with the name Simone. You see at a lot of de Simone for Vietri but nothing in this manner.

La famiglia de medicis translates to "family of doctors" but it could also refer to the Medici family a very old famous family from Italy that was involved in banking.

I have no idea what the people shown fit with this information but maybe it is Caride Simone's interpretation of a family portrait.

With the capital M I was thinking this was supposed to be the famous family named Medici.

I know nothing about it. Beautiful piece though and really good standard of art.
