I overlooked this small bowl for several days, as it was pale and kinda boring. Today I decided to look at it more closely and on the underside I found small irregular finger tip sized dimples and the clay rope still visible on the inside. So I brought it home to show all of you, and ask if the mark indicated a country of origin. I looked at Gotheburg for the mark, but without a country it is overwhelming.
Each of the three rabbits is different and the lines are irregular and have stopping points, so I think it is hand painted. The bowl is small at 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches high. The colors are paler than the pictures, since I took the photos at night. Of course, these are my inexperienced guesses, so any insights would be appreciated.

Your bowl is much cooler, but the hares looking back while frolicking remind me of the one in a small piece I found recently:

Middle aged moment; didn't realize I posted it. I didn't find out anything, but maybe someone commented. I'll go back and check the thread . . . I can't find it on the site. Weird!

Sorry guys, not seen anything like it ..mark is weird too, looks more like Korean than Chinese or Japanese to me ...but not Korean ...maybe a flower?

However, I think it must be from Japan. The stenciled rabbit design seems to be a popular motif on contemporary noodle bowls so that would make the most sense.

I think you were right; I recall posting it around Christmas. I also posted a wooden angel I can't find.
    Thx, KBE!

Maybe this helps for future searches, that specific blue is typical Japanese
Useless information if you're colour blind.

AJ That is very helpful. :):):) Now and in the future. Not color blind, I can see the brilliance of your avatar, but when you turn invisible in your dragon shape, that's harder.
