Sometimes I want to post on New Finds, sometimes Art,Ethnic, etc.Let me get this completely right. It's a big 'No-No' to post on more than one thread, correct ? I've never done it (might have re-posted on same thread once-got gently spanked). I used to revise, edit & juggle categories on Ebay in the old days-course this aint Ebay thank god.

    some forums get more views
some members stick to only the forums they are interested in

a good title...in almost any Forum...will eventually get noticed by the majority of folks that are needed to see it.

Posting the same item, on more than one Forum......or ...more than once.....without good cause.....will not earn you any friends here and may cause folks to pay less attention to items u need help with !

This Topic ..... your post..... would be better in General Discussion ...... as yer really not talking or asking about ANTIQUES.....

So... no matter the topic...try and place it in the forum that best suits it...... or...one of the more catch all forums...

I u post the same item......more than twice..... I will hunt you down and....
    " Fart , in your general direction !! "

    :wideyed:...:woot::woot:....:eggface:....:jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:...:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:.....;)

That's correct. There are a lot of people that don't venture from the forums that they have expertise in. Therefore, it's always better to post in the most relevant forum. You can always reply to the Finds Thread and point via URL to your main post.

It is okay to post an item in the best/new finds thread and then post it again in the appropriate area if you are looking for information on it or just want to share it:) When posting it in the best finds thread, I usually put a comment like 'separate thread looking for info on it':)

    there are always exceptions ....

if u post an item on the finds thread to show it off.....but then want a deeper dive for information.......it is not frowned upon to post it again in a more focused Forum.
The gals do it with jewelry , on occasion !!:happy:

    no ............
you can delete a post....but not a Thread.......only a MOD can transfer or delete a thread....

& as u can plainly see......you're getting good advice , from solid members....right away.....
so , why move it now????

It helps a lot-folks don't want to hear someone barking about the same thing over and over.

    Whoa...!!!
new finds....for showing what u recently found at the thrift, estate , yard sale....

    then, if needed......a separate thread....

you sound like you're going to post everything u have twice now...
and that will turn folks away from your items..........FAST !!

    pick the best FORUM.......post once!

I think viewers with the most experience and expertise probably do hit the 'Finds Thread' first. Many have been here a while and have seen many of the other, older threads. Thanks for this essential tip Any.
