I hope that you are well. I welcome your thoughts and observations about the below Harem ring. It's stamped 18 in Arabic numerals I thought to post it because its an interesting thing. Just under 9 grams on a size N ring. 5933880890524551359.jpg

I have a similar ring, my father bought it in Lebanon in the mid-60s. It was sold as a '1001 nights ring'.

Oh, that's interesting. I hope that every wife to wear it wasn't sent to the gallows by her husband (context for those not familiar is that the 1001 nights is a voluminous story about a King who after the betrayal of his first wife, married a bride every night and had each one executed, until he married a woman who could craft such mesmerising stories that each nightly cliffhanger kept her alive. The stories she told included Alladin, Sindbad and Ali Baba and the Dirty Theives).

The 1001 nights were the nights during which Sheherazade told her stories. She survived because every night when she finished one story she immediately started another one, and the shah wanted to hear the end.
After 1001 nights of story telling the shah got over his frustration over the betrayal by his first wife, so I think any wife wearing a ring like this should be fine.
