Curious after having just come across this. C.L.Miller is the daughter of the author of Miller's Antiques guide. She has written "Antique hunter's Guide to murder", and "Antique Hunter's Death on the Red Sea". Wondering if they're worth a try.

Puts me in mind of Lawrence Block's Bernie Rhodenbarr series. I loved those !

Just found an old copy of The Burglar in the Closet on my mother's shelf. On your recommendation, will (re?)read it.

I LOVED watching Lovejoy! My favorite episode was when a friend needed some money. Lovejoy went into a shop and bartered for something small. He took that to the next shop and did the same, on and on, each time finding something worth more than what he brought in to barter with. By the end of the episode he had thousands to help his friend!

Then I took out one of the books, and I don't know why, but the writing style left me flat, I never tried another.

I will try Lawrence Block, I love "who done its", thanks for the suggestion :)
