Have already ID'd this recent purchase. Found exact version sold on Ebay for $157, so getting ready to list.

Just wondering about this "chip" or what to call it on the lid. (See 2nd & 3rd photos.) Might it have happened during production? It is so even, like a little round divet. Does not feel rough, but I suppose might be a chip, ....or? Will certainly disclose in the auction description and include these close-up shots, but wondered how to describe. Thanks for taking a look.

It looks like a chip to me. Is it glazed over? That's usually what I use as a determining factor as to whether it's a factory issue or not. If no glaze I list it as post production damage.

Thanks, Don. Probably what it is.

Also I like the term, "Post production damage".

    Cheers.
