Heavy bronze corners but for what?

I picked these up at a sale of a 93 year old Dairy farm/ carpenter along the Missouri river. He made furniture and refinished furniture. His son in law purchased the farm and out buildings and let me go picking through it. I bought two truck loads . i bought a lot of hardware and he sold me these 11 corners that I believe are bronze for $10. the larger corners(1316gr/2lb 14 oz) are obtuse and the smaller corners(832g/1lb 13 oz) are acute. I believe I am missing at least one of the smaller ones . I have searchedevery which way I can think of to no avail. I have run them by a number of people. When I was sitting in our 1840 church , I noticed that the pew "legs" were acute so I was thinking along those lines. I at first thought they were brass but they are too brown. But held up to my old copper it did not match. I would love to solve this mystery. Any guess on age? Look like something for a headstone.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I was thinking more along some sort of a frame, but the sizes don't really add up......

i agree but there are not right angles. and they have small scree holes to be attached to I think something wooden. The space between is 1" so it would be a 1" board. has to be something that is angled . The rounded "bottoms" seem like there were meant to slide smoothly across carpet. I may never know.

the way the holes are drilled , makes me think screws rather than nails...& also the size and weight of the corners....
interesting the way the larger ones have full backs but the smaller ones are just edge covers......
they must have come from a large piece of furniture......from a fancy place....

    maybe even a river boat....

I had a set of four corners plus one extra of the big ones identical to these

I would say a door? As they aren't 45° angle. Doors sometimes aren't either.
The feet of church Banks either can be not 45° angle.

    A bit this Idea...

My first thought was for a fancy desk that has an inset blotter; a leather cushioning layer topped with replaceable blotter paper.

But the inside space is like 7/8" or 1"

A search for 'antique desk blotter corners' turns up many similar looking items, but I suppose corners are corners.

except these corners are not square. It has to be something that angles and is very heavy.

My mentioned option? To protect heavy corners from a bank? Those need to be decent aka heavy.

That is what i was think of your church "banks" . I did not understand the use of banks:playful: I call them pews! Probably not used on pews since they would slide too easily but on a bench you wanted to slide on carpet.
