I just purchased this vase from an auction and I think I'm in love. It has wonderful colors and it's solid glass, very heavy. It measures 9 1/4" high. I particularly like the yellow/golden base. But I have no idea where it might have been made. Based on the age of all the other pieces the lady collected, it should have been 1970s, but who knows? So do you think it's Bohemian, Italian, or even Chinese? TY!

My guess is Italian. 70's or a bit earlier sounds right for time frame.

Thanks, msgood! That's nice to hear, was hoping not chinese. But frankly, it looks better than that. This was part of a huge lot of cranberry glass that I was able to buy. Mostly Fenton or Fenton for LG Wright and a couple pieces of Pilgrim and then this beauty. I also have a large jar to post later to get your opinions on. TY!

Between the color and the shape, it's very lovely.

I suspect Japanese. Typical shape and colours, plus the use of the milk glass.

Japanese never entered my mind. Who would be the possible companies? I guess I just don't ever think of Japan in relation to art glass. Thanks for your comments. Now I'm off to try to look up some Japanese art glass.
