Hello Antiquers!

Hi All, My name is Jody and I live in the suburbs of Detroit. I'm married, have 2 adult children and 2 dogs. I love to travel, golf and listen to true crime podcasts. Thank you for welcoming me!

We've lived next to our neighbors for 25 years and have always considered them "our old people". They have no children so we filled the void and became very close. Sadly, we lost him a year ago today. His wife has dementia and was moved to a memory care facility 10 minutes from our house. She's where she belongs, adjusting and already has a boyfriend. Here's where I'm hoping this group can help.

We had an estate sale and kept out a few pieces that felt special and unique. Everyone suggests using google lens but the results seem to vary so much that I'm not sure what to believe. Our neighbors had high-end taste in furniture and traveled extensively. Unfortunately we never really talked about these items.

Our goal is to learn and not give away items that may be worth something. We're realistic and just want to do right by her. Living in a memory care facility is expensive so we're doing what we can to build the nest egg. Thank you for your time!
