I love this! I got it from charity shop yesterday for 10p, I only got it because it was there originally but when I got it home, I noticed it had sort of dandelion spores inside.
Now I AM easily pleased so others may not think it's lovely as I do. But I LOVE the spore things!
I am of the school if one is good, two is better and three ( and more ) ... well!

I would like to find another but I can't work out what the symbol is.

It's small, approx 4 cms across the bottom, and the opening is approx 9 cms and it's 5 cms down xx

(Do you think it should have a lid? Or is it as it should be?) x

I agree, very pretty, love the colour and the glaze. 10p, a steal!
Looks fine without a lid, don't think it ever had one. Who'd want to hide that inside?:)

I'm a sucker for a pretty glaze:). I think it's a crystalline glaze if that helps though potters might have a better name for it.

It's possible it's a local potter so you might try looking up some potters near you.

    Hi,
I would use it as a tea cup. Looking into the depths through the tea would be wonderful.

I don't think it ever had a lid and I love the crystalline glaze inside too!

Curious to know - what size is this bowl?

    Possibly new and Chinese.
I have this vase, clearly marked China, which seems to be same clay, same treatment, same overall colors:

I've heard that crystalline glazes are difficult to achieve because of the kiln control necessary to allow the crystals to form.

So...is it not things under it, just crystalised from the glazing process? Is that what people have been telling me and I'm too dim to pick up on ?

Thanks so much to everyone <3

Studio pottery with crystalline glaze. I don't think it's Asian. I'll hav a hunt through the British Studio book, but you might also post this on the British Studio Pottery Facebook page. Very pretty and a bargain.
