Hello Everyone!

I joined the other day and have posted a couple of times since.

I like antique and vintage furniture, mirrors, rugs and smaller decorative items, mostly. I'm not an expert and really only can recognize a few styles of things here or there, but I just find I'm drawn to well-made antiques and vintage things, especially when they're a great deal.

I really don't care how much my things are worth since I buy things I like and that I'll use. I like the hunt of finding old things and I like history, researching and exploring. A couple of years ago I found some churned up things from the 1880s from what I assume was our house's privy pit (and also bricks, granite pavers and what looks like pieces of an old cornerstone from a lot we made into a yard) and that's the kind of thing that makes me excited and my husband look at me strangely.
