Hello from coastal North Carolina

Greetings all! I may or may not have been a member of this forum in years past. The older I get, the more I forget.

In brief, I'm a retired research librarian, counselor, woodworker, &c. Life long bookman and old tools collector. For a good part of this life I've also been a dealer in, you guessed it, old tools and old books.

In retirement (my last employer offered medical disability and I took it, packed up and left in four days) I have embarked on a new life as a full time antiques dealer. Two booths in local shops keep me busy. I also buy and sell on Ebay, since way back when. Recently, on a dare, I started a Facebook group: Antique Tools, Buy, Sell & Trade which is doing quite well with minimal interference from myself and the other admins.

My areas of interest are early tools, books and ephemera of crafts, trades and industries. Living now in a one bedroom apartment, I am seriously unloading what is left of the various collections. It was my habit to pack up a pickup truck with boxes of stuff every five years and either tailgate or auction it all off, then start again. I am now less attached to Stuff than before and happily so.

My domicile is in Wilmington, North Carolina where the weather is better than the northeast, the fishing is good and the beaches are better.

My sanity is maintained by a one man publishing outfit known as The Toolemera Press, with the adjunct Toolemera Antiques for my brick and mortar stuff. Mostly I re-publish books and trade catalogs from my own collection with the rare production of something from an association or from a friend. Rarely.
