I wonder if anybody can assist with this one please?
I have a nice set of vintage spoons in excellent condition with some quite distinctive marks. Can anybody recognize them? I'd me most grateful for any advise.
Thanking you all in advance. Loving the friendly, helpful & knowledgeable advise from all at Antiquers!

German? There was very similar mark of an angel with the trumpet on one of my tin vases, if I recall it was made in Germany. Maybe...

I also go with German. The angel looks familiar. Maybe Vatican?

It is the Angel Mark, used in several countries for high grade tin. This angel looks fairly recent, and I agree, probably German.

Very good to know. Thank you. I didn't mean the angel looked German. I just meant the design, key, angel and looks like crown on top reminded me of the Vatican.

Hi & thank you for the interest in my spoons!
Great observations that I had not noticed. I rushed to get them out and with the aid of a loupe I've looked closely. Sadly it's just casting imperfection. I checked all spoons, some have them, some not and in different areas.
Appreciate your suggestions though. They are indeed interesting spoons, too nice I feel to be just any old spoon.
