Hello, I really need help solving this mystery! I found this enormous handmade glass vase. It was buried in my backyard for at least 20 years! I've literally been online for years now every day looking for something that helps me understand why it was buried and what its history might reveal. It’s so intriguing that someone would cover this beauty up with dirt forever?!? I'd greatly appreciate any opinions you could offer. Thank you so much in advance. It's 24" high and weighs about 13 lbs. It is cased in super heavy thick glass or crystal.
I found a few marks on it, and have found out some intriguing details about it. I believe I found a pun zone or punch mark on the side near the bottom and another that looks like a signature in silver leaf under and around the rim. I broke out my magnifying glass. The struggle is real!! LOL ! Thank you in advance!
update: I’ll be posting some incredible photos of it today and tonight. It changes in front of your eyes. I think I may have seen Seguso and the word arte? I’m new so please be patient as I learn how to use this site. Stay tuned… it’s an Op Art piece. It will blow your mind when you see all of the photos and how it changes. I’m having issues uploading the photos:-( IMG_2820.jpeg IMG_1343.jpeg IMG_5261.jpeg

I tried to show you the variety of colors in different angles and lighting. Inside, it looks black, with blue and white abstract. You’d never know the crazy things it could do. It takes on its environment. It never looks the same. I’m struggling with posting pictures and can I post a video of it? How? It’ll take forever to upload these one at a time. My friend is a glass artist and teaches at the Corning Museum of Glass. She is just as perplexed by this as everyone else that sees it morph. It has some kind of cipher that partially reflects gold and copper flecks. I’m trying to post these. Please comment if you’re able to help me with a faster way to post pictures and videos! Thank you so Much!

mind not blown..... but it looks very interesting...

where is your backyard located ..... Chicago.... Berlin....... Paris..???

There is too much going on with your photo's to get an idea of what I'm looking at , so how about starting with a simple straight on photo , with a solid background, no floors, & outdoors, cabinets & chairs........ those only serve to muddy the waters and keep us from seeing what it is that you want us to see.

Help us , to help you !

An interesting thing, the bottom section seams oddly shaped (like a buried glass bottle that has been exposed to a fire) But yes I find the photos a bit unclear (the portions of the top vs bottom is confusing) Also did you personally dig it up? How do you know that it has been buried for at least 20 years ? (it that how long you owned the house before you discovered it) How deep was it buried (just for interest sake)
