Acquired this piece today while thrifting. From the markings I'm thinking between 1903-1924? Just wasn't sure about the Kimball marking. Is that the artist and is the number the piece number? Or did a previous owner possibly just put their name on it? I think Kimball, a hobbyist, painted this Haviland blank.

    I agree with janet.
It's a pretty, but homemade, paint job signed by the hobbyist. China painting was a popular pastime. One could buy "blanks", plain white articles, to paint.
I agree with your dating. :)
