    First, welcome!

I don't know about your pendant however I doubt it's 1833 as they suggest as she would just have been a small child in that year. I don't know anything about coins of the time but it has no year so I'd think it isn't a coin though others may know better.

What I did see and wonder about are some letters that appear to be added on the back FETICH or something like that. Don't know what that means.

Anyway, this seller (is it you maybe?)has listed it at least twice before for $499 without selling so $2000-2500 seems high.

That coin is different than the pendant.

Does it weigh 9 grams with the bezel ?
The photographs are awful, they need putting the correct way and cropping.
The 100 Reales with that design was struck between 1850 and 1855. and should weigh 8.3371 grams without a bezel.
The only problem is, yours has the bust facing the other way.
Take it to a coin dealer and get it evaluated.

You're right. I assumed it was a coin that had been "framed" to hang on a charm bracelet. Apologies for misinformation.

It wasn't until I flipped the photo to look for date that I realized it was a reverse image. :)

The surround of the coin pendant is not antique. It is mid 20th century til now in date.

Dunno size but certainly looks like the kind of piece that one would see on a charm bracelet in the 1960s.

Fetich | Define Fetich at Dictionary.com
    www.dictionary.com/browse/fetich
fetish definition. An object believed to carry a magical or spiritual force. Some so-called primitive tribes practice cult worship of fetishes. (See animism and totemism.) Note: Figuratively, a “fetish” is any object that arouses excessive devotion: “Lucille made a fetish of her Porsche.”

But WHY would someone ADD that to a gold coin.....wouldn't that destroy the value????? Or would it have been added so as not to deceive????

The Spanish word fetiche, with an e at the end, means fetish, but is also used for good luck charms. The pictures are so bad, I can't see if it says fetich or fetiche.

It is a mark showing that the item is a copy so the persons making it don`t get prosecuted for counterfeiting.

Borrowed from Portuguese feitiço, from Latin factīcius (“artificial”).

    In other words Fictitious, Fake.

What we would call "facsimile" in English.
